About the play:
Luna finds two boxes on her grandma’s attic. They are full of treasures – an old radio, black and white photographs, petroleum lamp, crocheted tablecloth, coffee grinder... wonders one cannot see in today’s modern world. But somebody else also lives inside them– little gnomes Ž and V! They will help Luna to uncover the stories hidden in these magical objects and tell the story of grandma's life.
This interactive play invites children into a dialogue with a time they did not experience, yet one that can inspire their creativity and play with different materials and objects. With the rapid advancement of technology, children today have less and less exposure to the objects that their grandparents once used in daily life. The stories our grandparents told us are woven into the things we keep as cherished memories of them. As we embed our ancestors and their stories into objects, these items gain significance, transforming into family heirlooms—and in some cases, even becoming part of a nation’s cultural heritage.
The play was developed through a series of workshops conducted with different age groups to explore the objects and stories that people preserve as keepsakes.
