IIMS Second Wind Ensemble - Trad Group for Adults and Older Musicians
Calling all adult and older traditional musicians!
The Irish Institute of Music & Song, Balbriggan, Co. Dublin is seeking young-at-heart traditional musicians to join its new ensemble for adult and older musicians - the IIMS Second Wind Ensemble.
The group is an ideal opportunity for those wishing to return to playing music after a lapse, or those seeking to find new ways to participate! It aims to provide an enjoyable opportunity to play and learn in a collective supporting environment.
Working under the direction of leading traditional musician Dr. Eamonn Galldubh, the IIMS Second Wind ensemble members will be provided with a unique opportunity to launch or revive their musical interests!

Dr Eamonn Galldubh
Éamonn Galldubh has toured and recorded with artists including Clannad, Moya Brennan, Cara Dillon, Riverdance, Damien Dempsey, Ragús, Niamh Ní Charra, Celtic Woman, Hazel O Connor, Tarab, Dúlra, Druid Theatre and the RTE Concert Orchestra. He has performed in over forty countries across five continents. Éamonn began playing traditional Irish music on the tin whistle at age eight, moving on to the uilleann pipes, flute and saxophone. He enjoys working both as a session player and performing as a solo artist. As a composer his work has been performed and recorded by artists including Moya Brennan and Zoe Conway.
