This expert-led session is designed specifically for the final stages of exam preparation will focus on maximising your marks by covering all key areas of the exam in a clear and succinct form.
You’ll get a full revision of both the Listening and Composing elements, including detailed breakdowns of the Prescribed Works, Irish Music, Melody Writing and Harmony.
We’ll share clear, effective strategies for approaching each section with confidence, along with sample questions, proven exam techniques, and insider tips to help you secure top marks. Every student will also receive take-home slides and printed revision notes, making this a valuable resource to use right up to exam day.

About the teacher - Dr Brian Connolly
Brian has extensive experience in music education at all levels. Since 2010, he has taught Junior and Leaving Certificate Music revision courses, while mentoring and accompanying students for practical exams.
As a composer, his work has been performed globally. Highlights include composing for Keith Barry’s The Dark Side tour (12 nights at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre) and writing/presenting the RTÉ Lyric FM documentary Why Music Can’t Stay Still.
He holds a BMus, an MA in Computer Music, and a PhD in Music Composition from Maynooth University. Brian has also delivered guest lectures at TUD, DkIT and Maynooth University, where he lectured for 5 years.
