Autumn VOICE Conference
To mark #NationalSingingWeek, Irish Institute of Music and Song is hosting its inaugural VOICE Conference on Saturday morning 12 October 2019.
At this conference, specialist seminars will be presented on various topics relating to singing, choral training and music education.
Michael T. Dawson will present on the topic of "Using Consonants To Aid Singing". Michael will draw from his experience studying vocology as a DMA candidate in Choral Conducting at Thornton School of Music, University of Southern California, Los Angeles.
Andrea Delaney will present on the topic of "The Changing Female Voice". In this presentation, Andrea will discuss the development of girls' voices from childhood into adolescence and adolescence into adulthood.
Dónal Kearney will make a presentation entitled "Making an Impact with Music". This interactive session will explore concepts of leadership amongst music educators and invite participants to consider their own role as community leaders.
The full conference pass is €25 and will take place in Malahide Parish Pastoral Centre.
